Post-Production of YouTube Short
This is the Final Cut Pro interface for my YouTube short I created from my visualisation diagram. I decided to repurpose the ending clips from my TV trailer. To do this, I copied and pasted those clips and pieces of text into a new project on final cut pro. I then added a fade in and out transition to make the video run smoothy. In order to change the clips from landscape to portrait, I needed to change the resolution from 1920 x 1080 to 1080 x 1350. This created a portrait video, with a landscape video embedded inside (it did not change the actual video to landscape). In order to make the video fit the new aspect ratio, I had to scale all of the clips into it, allowing them to fit. and repurposing the ending clips from my TV trailer. To do this, I copied and pasted those clips and pieces of text into a new project on final cut pro. I then added a fade in and out transition to make the video run smoothy.
In order to comply with technical specification I ensured the following:
Video: 1080p HD
Resolution: 1920 x 1080
Aspect ratio: 16:9
Frames per second: 25fps
Audio: Stereo 48kHz, bit depth of 16.
File Format: mov
I completed this by choosing the option for 48kHz when creating the project, and then ensuring that the audio did not go over -6 decibels on Final Cut Pro, otherwise, this would technically be illegal as audio louder than this can be damaging and instantly removed from platforms. Furthermore, choosing the H.264 format to create the .mov file.
Final Product of YouTube Short
This is the actual YouTube short I created. It is 10 seconds long and in those 10 seconds I have decided to give away lots of information to the audience, this being: the name of the show, when it will be released and shown, and how to view it. I also chose it to be the ending pat as it is an intense yet quick video as this is the section where the music intensifies, and I can get the text to appear in time with the beat. This draws in the audience and grabs their attention as it is action packed in a small amount of time.
Production Of Other Social Media Adverts
For my other social media adverts, I decided to create two Instagram posts and a TikTok post. To do this, I repurposed components from my other advertising products, I repurposed the whole of the poster below, into a square document, to create an Instagram post of the poster/billboard advert itself. To do this, I used the mouse tool to drag the assets into their places, and then changed the document set up from a print A4 set up, to a web social media post set up. For the character profile Instagram post and TikTok post , I took a screenshot of one of the frames from my trailer (the image of Sam walking down the road). Next, for the character profile Instagram post, I copied and pasted the title and created new text using the text tool for the other pieces of text. Next I used the mouse tool to drag them into their allocated spaces; whereas for the TikTok post, I changed the document set up to a web, story post set up and then carried out the same procedure, without the extra character profile text.
Post-Production of Social Media Adverts
This is the interface of the website called Zeoob. This is where I created my Instagram posts and my TikTok post. I ensured to include my tagline in the descriptions of the posts as it was not included in the main post of all them. For the repurpose of the poster post, even though the tagline was in the post itself, I decided to include it in the description as well to further engrain the concept of my TV drama in the audiences head. Furthermore, I also added the release date and the available platforms to every post - even if it was included in the post itself, again, to make it more memorable to the audience. The following images are the final posts I created.
