D1 - Legal and Ethical Constraints Within my Campaign

This is my D1 task where I talk about legal and ethical constraints within my advertising campaign. In order to do this I had to ensure whilst creating my campaign that I was aware of the five regulatory bodies: the ASA, BCAP, CAP, Ofcom, and the BBFC. I had to comply with the rules and regulations of these regulatory bodies in order for my advertising campaign to be appropriate for my target audience, not cause any harm or offence, be socially responsible, representative of minorities and people, appropriate and decent.

The following documents are my risk assessment, consent forms and asset table. These ensure that I have fully followed all legalities necessary for my advertising campaign.

M3 - Meeting Codes and Conventions

This is my M3 task where I have stated how I have met the conventions, which are the commonly accepted ways of doing things for specific mediums; and how I have met the codes, which are indicators or signs in a media product which can be identified by the audience to create meaning. I talk about symbolic codes, which point the audience towards meanings which may not be apparent; technical codes, which are created through the equipment (software and hardware) I have used; and the written codes, which can be through written language or spoken language. I have talked about all of these aspects for all 4 advertising components I chose which were, a poster, radio trailer, TV trailer and social media posts.

P4 - Asset Table and Legal Issues

Assets Table
As seen above, These are all the assets I used throughout all of my advertising components. They have all been sourced from copyright and royalty free websites such as Pixabay. Furthermore, there are no brand logos included in any of my components, meaning I have not infringed on any company trademarks. I also required no permission to film as it was either in my own house or on public property, therefore I did not need to ask anyone for permission. Overall, this means that there should not be any legal issues with any of my components.

P3 - Shooting Schedule

This is the shooting schedule I produced for I Need Help. It will be given to crew members to allow the filming to happen, meaning everyone can show up on time and in the right location. Permission to film was not required for shoot 1 and 3 as I was filming in public places. I checked with the council and they approved of this. When filming in indoors during shoot 2, the homeowner gave permission to film.

P3 - Risk Assessment

This is the risk assessment I completed before the production of I Need Help. It involved me going to the location we would be filming at, and finding any possible risks, then assessing them on how I could ensure no harm would come to my crew. This will be given to all crew members, along with essential numbers such as the police, ambulances etc.
